A one-to-one mentorship programme to support the development, writing and pitching of screenplays for cinema and television.

The Lab is a unique experience for professional or emerging film & television writers and directors, where our aim is to guide you through the process of developing your own narrative or documentary screenplay; creating your pitch deck; and training to pitch.  

Our methodology as mentors encourages sensibility. We invite you to bring fragments of emotional and cognitive memory into narrative, giving greater depth to the characters, unblocking the most complex situations and finding unexpected original solutions.

Your registration is valid after the full payment of the modality chosen, upon which you will receive a proposed calendar schedule. 

All sets of sessions must be completed within 6 months of its purchase.

  • Write your feature film, in 10 sessions spread over 4 months.

    Starting with a written outline of 10 pages maximum, the mentors will begin by bringing out the strong aspects of your film. Together with you will break the story and create a clear treatment.

    You will then be guided through the writing and rewriting of your script, finding an original approach to characters, plot points and ending. They will provide you an essential kit for healthy professional writing.

    The mentors will help you on designing a pitch deck tailored for your project and preparing your pitch whilst giving you some industry insights.

  • Write your short film, in 5 sessions spread over 2 months.

    After your outline is submitted, 3 pages maximum, the mentors will kick off the process. They will highlight the strengths of your film and work with you as you develop your story.

    Next, you’ll receive guidance in writing and revising your script, perfecting dialogues, narrative and ending. They will equip you with essential tools to thrive as a professional writer.

    The mentors will assist you in creating a customized pitch deck for your project and help you prepare your pitch, all while sharing valuable insights from the industry.

  • Write your TV series, in 10 sessions spread over 4 months.

    The journey starts with your outline of up to 12 pages, where the mentors will identify and amplify the standout elements of your TV series. Together, you'll dive deep into the overarching story arc and craft the pilot episode, ensuring it sets the stage for an engaging series.

    Next, you'll enter the writing and rewriting stage, receiving guidance to uncover new perspectives on characters, story arcs and possible endings. You'll also be equipped with a toolkit to help you build a successful writing career.

    Finally, the mentors will assist you in crafting a tailored pitch deck for your project and preparing your pitch, all while sharing invaluable industry insights to help you navigate the landscape.

FAQs

  • You can submit by purchasing the suitable programme for your project. Check our sessions.

    We will confirm your submission and request you to send us your project's outline.

  • Through the sessions, our verbal one-on-one consultation allows writers and mentors to engage deeply in the written material with on the spot feedback and solution sharing. With the participants' permission, each session will be recorded and the files will be shared exclusively with them afterward. These video recordings have proven to be highly beneficial for writers as a resource after the sessions.

  • Yes, we consult on projects with co-writers or writing teams. Kindly note that we will not have separate meetings with each writer but will always work with all the writers together in each session, which are online. The fee remains to be the same per project.

  • The length of your outline depends on the programme selected:

    • 3 page outline for Short Film;

    • 7 page outline for Web Serie;

    • 10 page outline for Feature Film;

    • 12 page outline for TV Serie.

  • We only accept reading material through one of the Scriptwriters' Nest programs.

    And we prefer to start working with writers through a written outline.

    So we'll ask you to summarize your project in paragraphs, scene by scene with the locations and actions of the characters, but without dialogues or lengthy descriptions.

  • All Screenwriters' Nest sessions are held online and this way you can receive the recording files of your sessions.

  • The mentors are fully committed to confidentiality and will never share any information or materials related to your project with third parties.

  • We do not expect to receive any credit. Our role is only to support the project in its writing and development. We are not co-writers or producers of your project. The story and ideas are entirely yours.

  • A proposed calendar schedule will be sent to you, once the programme you’ve chosen has been paid.

  • Each session is around 2 hours long.

  • Each additional session will cost 150 euros.

  • You can make payments directly through our website by purchasing one of the programmes. For installment payments, contact us at nest@guionismo.com

    • Cancellations made up to 15 days prior to the first scheduled session are eligible for a full refund, minus any applicable bank transfer fees.

    • For cancellations made within 15 days leading to the first scheduled session, a 75% refund will be issued, as the mentors will have already reviewed your materials. In this case, written feedback on your project will still be provided.

    • If a cancellation occurs after the first session, a 50% refund of the total fee will be granted.

    • No refunds will be given for cancellations made after the second session.
